Never let it be said that Brian Michael Bendis doesn’t know how to keep busy. The prolific writer has had his hands full since coming to DC in 2018. Arriving with much fanfare on both Superman and Action Comics, Bendis also relaunched Young Justice, co-created a new DC mainstay in Naomi, wrote the excellent Batman: Universe, shepherded the Event Leviathan mini, and more. All of these books introduced new characters, re-tooled existing ones (such as aging up young Jonathan Kent to his mid-teens), and set various wheels in motion throughout the DC Universe....

Great news for all you Ghosts fans: it’s being reported by the British Comedy Guide that the show is returning for a fifth series. The latest entry in the franchise, God of War Ragnarok, offers more ways to tweak its challenge than prior God of War games. Players can give themselves extra time to complete puzzles, alter how much support the lock-on camera provides, and even remove minigames. As is God of War tradition, Ragnarok offers several settings that determine combat difficulty, although the game doesn’t exactly say which one is best suited for players....

Hand-in-hand, this promises the two defining elements of the 2018 revival film, which 40 years later seeks to accomplish what so many other Halloween sequels have failed to do: make a proper continuation (and maybe conclusion) to the original. Like previous Halloween follow-ups, Green’s movie is filled with a nostalgia for the original slasher and only the original, but unlike previous successors, it is presented with a playful creative exuberance, which runs throughout the picture from Green’s better scare setups to his and McBride’s surprisingly amusing screenplay....

Harley Quinn Season 2 Episode 7 And it was all going so well… after Harley and Ivy successfully took out most of the Injustice League, things were looking up for the pair. Ivy is engaged to Kite Man. Harley is finally free from the Joker, or at least we thought she was. After accidentally awakening the Clown Prince of Crime from his acid-induced normalcy, the terrible twosome were caught by Two-Face....

Hawkeye has finally wrapped up and it certainly ended its juggling act with a flourish. The series had so much going on that some would argue that too much was on its plate. Not only were there so many subplots weaving through each other, but the show brought in Yelena Belova from Black Widow and the Kingpin from Daredevil as the mystery villain and used them as closure instead of just giving them some cameos and hinting towards their next MCU appearances....

December 2022 truly is TV’s time to shine on HBO Max. Things get started on day one with the release of Gossip Girl season 2 (Dec. 1). That will be followed by His Dark Materials on Dec. 5. Adapting The Amber Spyglass, this season promises to be the most action-packed yet for the BBC/HBO fantasy collaboration. December 8 sees the arrival of Doom Patrol season 4. This DC comic property doesn’t have the cultural cache of some of its CW contemporaries but when it’s rolling, it might be one of the best comic series around....

Hearthstone‘s latest expansion (Voyage to the Sunken City) is poised to drastically alter the game’s competitive meta thanks to the introduction of some truly powerful decks that already have the CCG’s best players scrambling to find counters and solutions. While the release of any new Hearthstone expansion is reason enough to dive back into the game and start playing with all the new decks, Voyage to the Sunken City feels especially disruptive in the best way possible....

Stephen Amell is no stranger to big action roles. Having made a name for himself on Arrow as Oliver Queen, a part which required him to balance a conflicted, tortured performance with the physical demands of playing a superhero, Amell has continued to challenge himself with larger than life performances. In 2015, at the height of Arrow’s popularity, Amell took his lifelong love of professional wrestling to the ring, wrestling several times in WWE, including at SummerSlam 2015....

Given its spoof horror status, when judging the merits of Hell Baby, it behooves me to contextualize this in the line of horror comedies that came before it, only because as any quick perusal of IMDB will reveal that spoof horrors are not usually well received. Considering their overwhelmingly poor performances and super saturated scripts, most more than deserve that fire of critical panning. Yet, strangely in this particular contrast, the context reveals why Hell Baby holds up....
