The MCU corrected an outdated racist offense within the Shang-Chi comics canon through Iron Man 3, but the casting of Tony Leung as the “real” Mandarin in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings caused some initial trepidation. However, it’s proven to be another brilliant spin on behalf of the MCU. Firstly, the character is not the Mandarin at all. He’s Wenwu, an ancient immortal who disdainfully dismisses that ridiculous Mandarin moniker....

Of the original Avengers, Hulk seemed to be the most tragic. Exposed to radiation against his will, forced to transform into an uncontrollable beast, hunted down by his girlfriend’s father. Things seemed rough for ol’ Bruce Banner. But after Avengers: Endgame, Bruce seems in better shape than the other five. Sure, Steve got to go back in time and get that dance, but now in his twilight years, he’s spending a lot more time spreading haemorrhoid cream on America’s ass....

If you told me this time last season that Star Trek: Discovery would end its second season with a visually-stunning space skirmish that wouldn’t forget its characters and plot in the process of trying to Be Super Cool™, then I might not have believed you—even if you had wings and called yourself the Red Angel. I am very glad to see my expectations proven wrong, and to see how far Star Trek: Discovery has come in its second season....

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Episode 1 Nobody expected Star Trek: Strange New Worlds to be lacking classic Star Trek Easter eggs. However, what was unexpected was just how hardcore SNW would be in its love and adoration for The Original Series. Considering this show is probably the one that’s most welcoming to new fans, it’s somewhat ironic that it’s also the series premiere with the nerdiest Trekkie references, at least since Lower Decks Season 2....

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Episode 7 Truth be told, I keep waiting for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds to disappoint me. Because while certain aspects of both Star Trek: Discovery (Saru and T’Rina’s romance, the general existence of Grudge, cool giant glow cloud aliens) and Star Trek: Picard (Patrick Stewart existing, John de Lancie returning) have been wonderful, both shows have had their fair share of rough patches in recent seasons, moments where watching them felt a whole lot more like an obligation than it did a joy....

Thanks to the Lucasfilm panel at Star Wars Celebration, we now know that “Grammar Rodeo” is in fact a Disney+ series entitled Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Even better, we know that it will star Jude Law, who had long been rumored to be involved in a Star Wars project. Watts explained during the panel that Skeleton Crew will be set during the same period as The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett, which take place five years after Return of the Jedi....

When a group of Jedi and smugglers are stranded on a space station, they find something strange: ancient idols and plant life that shouldn’t be able to grow so well in space inhabit the alien structure. Jedi apprentice Reath Silas, in particular, doesn’t feel ready for this mission; he’d much rather be reading about someone else’s adventures. But when the Jedi’s choice to disturb the idols releases ancient and murderous alien captives, the station becomes a problem only Reath can solve....

Supernatural Season 13 Episode 22 There’s something about the episode before the finale. For Supernatural, it’s usually a bit of a slow boil, essentially a long intro to the actual finale.
