Loki Episode 3 The third episode of Marvel’s Loki, “Lamentis”, threw our main man and the Variant he’s been chasing into a deadly situation from which there ultimately appeared to be no escape. It also made Loki canonically bisexual in the MCU and opened up a can of TVA worms that will keep us wondering about the true nature and identity of the Time-Keepers for a while longer. There was a lot going on in the show’s most Doctor Who episode yet, which abandoned its crime procedural vibe to focus on splashing Marvel’s cash further than previous installments....

As with other shows, like The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Netflix has decided to break up the release of Lupin‘s first season into two parts. This presumably means that the production filmed 10 episodes of the show, and they have been divided into “Part 1” and “Part 2” for release. This is very good news for Lupin fans as we won’t have to wait for Netflix to write, film, and post-produce new episodes of Lupin, all in the midst of an ongoing pandemic that makes production that much harder....

Best known for his work on Doctor Who, Sherlock, Dracula, and the comedy troupe League of Gentlemen, Gatiss has become the force behind the BBC’s revival of A Ghost Story for Christmas series of television films. The original run of annuals was largely helmed by Lawrence Gordon Clark, and aired from 1971 until ’78, before returning sporadically in 2005. Gatiss made his directorial debut in 2013 with The Tractate Middoth, the Ghost Story adaptation of James’ work....

Deadpool 3 will be the first film about the Merc with a Mouth to be produced under the auspices of Marvel Studios after the first two were handled by Fox. Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) Probably the biggest news is the finally official confirmation that Kate Bishop would be a co-star of the show. Hailee Steinfield plays this possibly future Young Avenger as she joins her namesake hero (Jeremy Renner) on a quest through New York City. Bishop was created in the comics by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung as part of the 2005 Young Avengers team. She’s the daughter of obscenely wealthy and inattentive Manhattanites, who discovered her father was a bad sort, was the victim of an assault, and became a martial arts/weapons prodigy because of it....

Instead, however, Netflix opted to highlight three of its non-U.S. based series, two of which feature dialogue primarily in a language other than English. During its time at TCA, Netflix held panels for Polish-American fantasy drama The Witcher, French gentleman thief story Lupin, and Spanish phenomenon Money Heist. Since Western pop culture has a distinct English-speaking bias, one might assume that the presentation was about calling attention to some lesser-known titles....

Former tennis pro John McEnroe isn’t an obvious choice of narrator for the story of a 15-year-old girl, which is all part of Never Have I Ever’s fun. The Mindy Kaling/Lang Fisher Netflix teen comedy has an in-story explanation for McEnroe being the one to commentate on Devi’s high school life following the death of her father, but the comedic mismatch is half of the attraction. When season one episode six ‘Never Have I Ever… Been the Loneliest Boy in the World’ shifted its attention away from Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and onto her schoolmate nemesis Ben Gross (Jaren Lewison), a new narrator was required....
