With less than two weeks to go before The Walking Dead season 11 premiere on Sunday, Aug. 22, it looks like the “11 Weeks” project is ready to ramp up. Today AMC released a lengthy 90-second sneak peek at a scene from the season premiere, “Acheron.” The scene picks up with our survivors bumping shoulders in close quarters while Negan annoys everyone. In advance of WandaVision episode 7, premiering tomorrow on Disney+, Marvel has unveiled a decently lengthy first look at the episode. The reveals therein are vast. For starters, it’s clear that Wanda is experiencing a bit of a magical hangover from her Halloween barrier expansion. The clip also makes clear that Wanda is not going to let her sitcom world go without a fight. After beginning with The Dick Van Dyke Show in episode 1 and embarking through sitcom history to Malcolm in the Middle in episode 6, Wanda has finally arrived at the popular mockumentary era from the 2010s....

Warrior Season 2 Episode 1 Now that the Warrior world is established, the season 2 premiere concerns itself with more character development and the interweaving of story arcs. The action, however, is even more promising as the season premiere opens with (what else?) a fight scene. When we rejoin Ah Sahm (Andrew Koji), he’s getting beaten and bloodied again, locked in combat in a new no-holds-barred arena, the Barbary Coast Fight Pit, and flashing back to his brutal defeat by at the hands of Li Yong (Joe Taslim) last season....

It’s hard to say otherwise while watching the new Westworld trailer. There we again see the bright blue skies and wide open prairies that marked the first two seasons of the show. And it’s by far the best thing the sizzle reel. You see it hinted at as Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) stares at a burning tree under a blazing sun, and again in its more insidious form when an apparently still enslaved host offers an unseen visitor their choice of white or black hats....

I still doubt that we’ll actually see a full-on sequel to Morbius, but we definitely haven’t seen the last of Jared Leto’s Michael Morbius. Not if those end credits scenes are anything to go on. It seems pretty apparent that Sony’s master plan is to build up their roster of Spider-Man-based anti-heroes and funnel them into a Sinister Six movie, which in turn will be their version of the first Avengers....

To say that talent as immense as Newman and Woodward loomed large in Hawke’s world as a young actor would be an understatement. They were gods. And when their theater company, the Blue Light Theater Company, invested in one of Hawke’s earliest plays, it was as if the deities had tapped his shoulder. Hawke has been thinking about those early moments a lot in recent years, and even more so about the full legacy of Newman and Woodward....

Marvel’s What If…? finished its first season with its ninth episode, bringing everything together for one, big climactic finale. To defeat a multiversal threat in Infinity Ultron, our narrator Uatu the Watcher put together heroes from previous episodes to form the ultimate team. This team-up found a way to call back every one of the alternate worlds we’ve visited so far, whether it was the roster itself, a cameo from the Marvel Zombies, or an epilogue involving the world where the Avengers were murdered....

Until now. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will reprise their respective roles as Neo and Trinity for The Matrix Resurrections, which is directed by Lana Wachowski, who wrote the script with novelists David Mitchell and Aleksandar Hemon. The unlikely sequel is billed as a revival, not a reboot, and will also bring back Jada Pinkett Smith as Niobe, Lambert Wilson as The Merovingian, and Daniel Bernhardt as Agent Johnson. Conspicuously absent from the list of returners is Laurence Fishburne, who also doesn’t know why he wasn’t asked to bring back Morpheus....

Over the years, Spider-Man did rejoin with the symbiote a few times, usually in the name of heroism. In Venomized, a Venom symbiote from another reality bonded to him for a little while. At the end of Dan Slott’s lengthy Amazing Spider-Man run, Eddie Brock let Spidey borrow the symbiote so he could fight the Red Goblin (Norman Osborn as Carnage). These days, Parker and his former tights at least have an understanding....
