In the comics, the Midnight Suns’ members teamed up to fight Lilith, Mother of Demons, and the Midnight Suns game follows the same plot but with characters from throughout the Marvel universe....

Even those disappointed by Moon Knight had to admit that Jake Lockley was pretty cool. When Marc Spector’s third personality revealed himself as a newsboy-cap-wearing, Spanish-speaking tough guy, reservations about the series were kicked aside, like a discarded hospital wheelchair. Sadly, Lockley only made one appearance in the show, revealed to still be working as Khonshu’s assassin, despite the moon god’s deal with Spector and Steven Grant. But if Moon Knight does get a second season, we’re sure to see much more of Jake....

Netflix’s latest dip into horror-adjacent entertainment, Day Shift, is the directorial debut of veteran stunt coordinator J.J. Perry, best known for his work on John Wick: Chapter 2 and F9: The Fast Saga, and it speeds to the same stylish finish as those high octane films. How could it not? The film is produced by Chad Stahelski, who has directed or co-directed every entry in the John Wick franchise, and never met a subtly suspenseful mystery he couldn’t turn into a full-throttle action-adventure extravaganza....

Most intriguing of all is The Acolyte, a series set 100 years before The Phantom Menace. It’s helmed by Russian Doll creator Leslye Headland and stars Amandla Stenberg (Bodies Bodies Bodies) and Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game). While it’s currently filming at Shinfield Studios in the UK, we know surprisingly few official details about the secretive production. According to the show’s synopsis, it’s a “mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark side powers in the final days of the High Republic era....

Every clue, setback, and recalculation in Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer is satisfyingly frustrating. We all know the story by now, so director Tiller Russell can leisurely fill in the plot. We don’t even get the name of the serial killer until the end of the third episode. It’s not in the title, and if the detectives don’t know it, the series won’t disclose it. This is an internal affair, and early disclosures to the media contaminate clues like dancing on a crime scene in a pair of size 12 Avia sneakers....

But then there’s also the movie itself, all 163 minutes of it, which makes it the longest Bond adventure to date. To be honest, it sometimes feels like it too. No Time to Die, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (True Detective), ties up a lot of loose ends and brings back a lot of characters from the Craig era for an encore while also delivering some of the series’ most smashing and intense action sequences....

Daniel Craig’s long-heralded curtain call in the Bond franchise seems ever-imminent with the opening moments of the latest No Time to Die trailer, which retrospectively recalls Agent 007’s earliest moments with a freshly-issued license to kill in 2006’s Casino Royale before quickly chronicling the events of the three subsequent sequels, notably the ominous line from 2015’s Spectre, in which Christoph Waltz’s evil mastermind, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, said Bond was merely “a kite dancing in the wind....

A lot of anime have left a permanent mark on the animation industry, but there’s an extra level of celebration that’s surrounded Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece and its growing legacy. For some fans of the series, One Piece has been running for their entire lives. It’s accrued more than 1035 episodes and 15 movies, which works out to 420 hours–or 17-and-a-half days–of content. This is a staggering achievement in storytelling, but it’s also turned One Piece into an intimidating property for casual viewers to consume....
