In “Decommissioned,” the Bad Batch continue performing odd jobs for Cid. This time, they have to travel to one of Star Wars‘ most famous planets to retrieve a tactical droid’s data-filled brain. Along the way, they’re joined by two unexpected rivals, who want the information inside the tactical droid for their own fight against the Empire. The Bad Batch fight their way through the police droids guarding the facility, passing some Star Wars canon connections along the way....

Obi-Wan Kenobi, the latest Star Wars live-action series on Disney+, has shown just how desperate the situation has become for the remaining Jedi Knights hiding in the galaxy. In fact, we see in the very first episode how one Jedi fugitive is mercilessly hunted down by Inquisitors hellbent on hushing out the light side of the Force. Later, in episode 3, we learn that the only hope the Force-sensitive have left during the reign of the Empire is to be smuggled away into an Underground Railroad-like system of safe houses across the galaxy before the Inquisitors can capture and eliminate them....

What gives? Well, it’s no secret that things are a little hazy in terms of when we might actually get another Star Wars film. With Patty Jenkins’ Rogue Squadron film pushed out of its original Dec. 2023 release date (reportedly due to creative differences with the script), the movie Taika Waititi is developing with Krysty Wilson-Cairns will now be the next Star Wars picture we watch on the big screen....

Hasbro has revealed an intriguing quartet for its 6” scaled Star Wars: The Black Series line: Jaxxon, Darth Maul (Sith Apprentice), Carnor Jax, and Luke Skywalker (Heir to the Empire)—each character—or character iteration—hails from the Legends lore that Disney unceremoniously scrapped. Indeed, the fact that an action figure is finally (after decades of niche fan demand) being made for Jaxxon, the space-traveling bunny smuggled from Marvel’s Star Wars comics of the late-1970s/early-1980s, is indicative of a reemergence of the Legends lore....

At the time of his passing, Conroy’s most recent voice acting credit for his most famous character, Batman, was for the Super Smash Bros.-like fighting game, MultiVersus. Fathom Events’ latest big screen retro release will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Renaissance reptiles’ iconic live-action feature, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set for a limited return run at select theaters on Thursday, November 5 and Saturday, November 7. Granted, said celebration will be a belated one, seeing as the film debuted on March 30, 1990, but it will nevertheless serve as a wantonly retro moment for a certain generation that can recall the original film’s release as a seminal moment in childhood and for pop culture in general....

The 100 Season 5 Episode 3 Sleeping Giants is a good ol’ fashioned episode of The 100, complete with all the ingredients that make it great. There’s some space stuff, great fights, and serious moral quandaries balanced out by humor, and it all hinges on the rich relationships that make up the fabric of the show. Clarke is not messing around. She took a page out of the Grounders’ book from way back in season 1 when they used Jasper as bait, this time tying up one of the prisoners from the transport ship....

Just weeks before it arrived on Netflix, YA fantasy adaptation Half Bad was given a new name. The eight-part take on Sally Green’s popular book series about 17-year-old Nathan’s struggle to emerge from the shadow of his notoriously evil father, dropped the original book title in favour of a bulkier option. The two leads in Scottish BBC One Thriller The Control Room share “an unbreakable bond” says star Iain de Caestecker, who plays emergency call handler Gabriel. The early loss of the characters’ mothers forged an unspoken connection between them that survived into the present day. Gabe lost his mum from cancer as a child, while Joanna Vanderham’s Sam was abandoned by hers at a similar age. The two children were then separated for decades but “when Sam comes back into Gabe’s world, it’s like electricity shot through him,” de Caestecker tells Den of Geek....

We still don’t know how much of an antagonist John Walker – the new Captain America – will be on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. So far, Wyatt Russell’s Walker seems like a guy trying to do the right thing, and a decent enough fella, although his final interaction with Sam and Bucky at the end of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 2 hints at a darker side....
