Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Trailer
“Welcome to the road not taken,” an ever-dramatic Q tells Picard in the most recent trailer for the new season. Yes, this means we’re going timey-wimey, with Picard and the crew of the La Sirena heading back in time to Los Angeles, Earth in the year 2024. (Let us know how it’s going, will you?) You can see the entire trailer, featuring our first glimpse at Guinan’s return, below… The first trailer released to tease Season 2 has a much more uplifting tone, while also teasing the return of the Borg Queen (played here by the wonderful Annie Wersching). Check it out… As previously mentioned, John de Lancie will be returning as Q, Whoopi Goldberg will be reprising her TNG role as Guinan, and Annie Wersching will be taking on the role as the Borg Queen.
Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Story
Star Trek: Picard Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes, and will see the crew of the La Sirena jumping back in time to fix what Q has intentionally f-ed up. As we heard in the Star Trek Day trailer, Q has gone back in time to change the world into, as Picard puts it, “a totalitarian nightmare.” Classic Q. We’re particularly excited to see this time travel plot play out as Terry Matalas, the creator of excellent Syfy time travel series 12 Monkeys, has joined Akiva Goldsman as showrunner for Season 2.
